Cortland's football program is one of the fastest growing in the country. The Red Dragons are Co-champions of the NJAC, one of the strongest small college football conferences in the northeast.

The Cortland State Red Dragons football team plays its games in the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex. With a capacity of 6500 people, the stadium offers a Division I-AA quality atmosphere.

Every November Cortland challenges Ithaca College for the Cortaca Jug. This game attracts as many as 12,000 fans in any given season. Sports Illustrated called the Cortaca Jug "The Biggest Little Game in the Nation." If you want to be a part of one of the greatest rivalries in football, Cortland is the place to be!
